We’re proud to share that Nick Johnson, Head of Compliance at Wealth Recovery Solicitors, has won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Manchester Legal Awards. The prestigious honour recognises individuals who have made a profound and lasting impact in the legal profession.
Celebrating Nick Johnson
Now in its 16th year, the annual event brought together 600 legal professionals to celebrate achievements across all areas of law.
Taking to the stage at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Nick expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, clients, and family, before discussing the challenges facing the legal profession today.
“I’m very honoured and humbled to win the award because I’m still here to receive it! I’m grateful that I’ve been able to contribute to the legal profession and society as a whole,” he said.
On the importance of being agile and supportive, Nick added:
“You’ll always have to be able to change. The world will not stay still, and you’ve got to adapt, but I advise everyone to work hard, be conscientious, and always be caring.”
And as he reflected on his career, Nick also said:
“I’m proud of what we’ve done at the firm, and Glaisyers is still here 50 years since it was established, which is a great achievement and testament to the hard work of everyone at the firm.”
About Nick Johnson
Nick Johnson is a former president of the Manchester Law Society, Managing Partner of Glaisyers Solicitors, and Chairman of the Board of Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust.
After graduating with a BA Honours in Special Politics from the University of Hull, Nick served as Vice Chair and Former Joint Chair for the Greater Manchester Pro Bono Committee. He was also a Past Panel Deputy on the Court of Protection & Chairman for the Friends of the Heath.
Today, he brings his wealth of experience into his role as Head of Compliance at Wealth Recovery Solicitors. We’re incredibly proud to have Nick as part of our team and congratulate him once again on this well-deserved recognition.
